Visual Studio 2008 - Auto Uninstall

This is a tool which helps to uninstall Visual Studio 2008 automatically. This tool doesn't uninstall Beta release only official release and only available for English version.
Note: use this tool only when you want to remove visual studio 2008 product completely along with its dependant components.

This tool works on the following products
  • Visual studio Express Editions
  • Visual Studio Team System
  • Visual Studio Professional
This tool doesn't remove the components which are shared among VS 2005 and VS 2008.
If you run this tool, this screen will look like given below

    It did not remove Visual Studio, it gave me an error. Not sure what else I can do to remove it from my computer.

    This didn't work for me,says there was no visual found but when I use my convert program I am getting a message abot visual studio so I know something is still there if I get this message.Got me puzzled....

    thank you alot it helps remove the VS2008 but there is a remaining items here like
    micrsoft sql server 2005. compact edition[ENU], server native client, setup support files(english), Vss writer,
    and microsoft visual c++ 2005 redistributable, microsoft visual c++ 2008 ATL update, microsoft visual c++ 2008 and microsoft visual c++ 2010 x86...

    it is part of VS2008? and how to remove this? and also it will affect my system performance? hope will reply as soon as possible:)

    Hi I am trying to run a silent uninstallation using the /q switch, however I am still prompted to Accept the Terms and Conditions. As I am looking to deploy this tool as a package via SCCM as a silent uninstall I need to have no user interation. Is there another switch to achieve this ?

    Hi ,It is not working for me.Once I have downloaded the Uninstall tool and started to run it, an error pops up and say"THE SERVICE DID NOT RESPOND TO THE START OR CONTROL REQUEST IN A TIMELY MANNER"

    Thanks. It worked great..

    Though i had some issues after running this tool like my Sql Server 2008 express setup failed a couple of times but i tried restarting my PC twice to fix this issue. ..

    Its true that "99% of problems in windows can be solved if you restart the computer"... lol
